We got a swing set!

The few sunny days that we've had recently has had us playing outside a lot. I've been wanting to get the kids a swing set for the back yard, so we went ahead and did it this week. We just got a small, simple one. I mainly wanted swings. Skyler LOVES to swing. Whenever we go to the park that's what he spends most of his time doing. I'm glad that it also has a slide because that's what Dylan loves to do right now.
This turned out to be more time consuming than I had anticipated. It took a half hour phone call to Wal Mart and a trip to Wal Mart to discover that they didn't have the one we wanted. Then a trip to Toys R Us to get a different one. At Toys R Us, we waited forever for them to locate the anchors we needed to make it safe to use (of course they're sold separately) Once we got home and started putting it together, we discovered that the plastic swings that it came with sucked and Skyler couldn't even stay on them. Then we had to make a run to Lowes to buy a better swing. After all that, we ran out of daylight and had to finish putting it together the next day. Goodness gracious, it really shouldn't be so difficult to buy a swing set!

 Luckily, it was sunny the next day too, so they actually got to play on it after it was all put together.

 Dylan doesn't use the steps, he climbs up the slide, then when he gets to the top he turns around and sits down and then he turns around again and goes down on his tummy. It's pretty funny to watch!

 Being a little dare devil and swinging like Super Man... and loving every second of it.

Skyler is very excited to have a "park at our house" I think we'll be getting a lot of use out of our new fun toys!
