So a lot has happened with Skyler since we last posted a blog. He's just growing up so fast!!! One week before his 5 month birthday he got his first tooth and then the week after that he got his second tooth. So both of his bottom middle teeth are coming in. Also suddenly he can sit on his own, he babbles all day long and I have successfully got him sleeping 7-8 hours straight at night. Believe me that is a huge victory because he was getting up 3 times between 11pm and 4am every night. Now he goes to bed at 10pm and doesn't wake up until 6am. HOORAY FOR SLEEP!!!! But I'm so used to getting up 3 times a night that after 4 hours of sleep I wake up and feel so rested that I can't fall back asleep. Oh well I'll take that problem over getting up 3 times a night :) Below are some fun pictures capturing his new talents.

I had Skyler sitting on the kitchen counter while I was doing the dishes and he managed to reach behind him, move the heavy paper towel holder and unravel a bunch of paper towels. He was having so much fun I just let him keep playing with them. I figured that paper towels are cheap entertainment and it bought me some time to get stuff done. Hey whatever works :)

This is at the fireworks show at the South Sound mall where I was a bad parent and let Skyler try cotton candy. Of course he loved it and was a sticky mess even though he barely had any at all.

On 4th of July Grandma got this toy out for Skyler which I thought was still too big for him, boy was I wrong. He loved it and this is where we discovered how well he can sit on his own now.

Grandma and Grandpa spoil their grand kids so much. They got them this really fun pool to play in for the 4th of July. Unfortunately the water was a bit cold so the kids didn't last long.

This is a really cute water mat/sprinkler for the kids that grandma bought in addition to the pool. As you can see Skyler was not having fun with it and I couldn't figure out why he hated it so much because I thought it was so cool. Then I stepped on it and discovered that the water coming out of the hose was like ice. Oops :)

We did not plan these matching outfits but they were sitting together and looked so cute I had to snap a picture.

I always love sleeping pictures. He was being a bully this day and I figured it must have been because he was wearing camo pants and a rugby shirt. He thought he had to live up to his tough guy outfit.

As many of you know I'm not a fan of "noisy toys" but I finally caved and bought him one because whenever we go anywhere and noisy toys are around he has so much fun. And look at how good he can sit now.

He always has the silliest facial expressions

I came home from work and this is how I found them. . . . . aren't they adorable!!! I love my boys!!!!

Just chillin'

Our first tooth brushing experience. Gotta keep those pearly whites pretty.

If you look close you can see his 2 teeth. They're so cute. . . . .and very sharp!!!
