Two Happy Little Boys!

This Chevron Car that I've had since I was a teenager has become one of Skyler's favorite toys. He plays with it all the time and it's quickly becoming one of Dylan's favorite toys as well. He'll crawl all the way across the room to it if he sees it abandoned on the floor. I'm not sure what it is about this car that they both love, maybe it's the bright red color? At any rate, one day Rich decided to pick up a new Chevron Car for the boys when he was at the gas station and it made me start to think, if they love these cars so much I wonder if I could find a lot of them on Ebay. So, I went on Ebay and sure enough, there are tons of them on there. I found a lady selling some used ones and even figuring in the cost of shipping I was able to get a big box of them for about $3.50 a piece, which is quite a bit cheaper than the $8-$30 they are brand new. And today was the day they arrived!!!
I wish I could have gotten a better picture of Skyler's face as he opened his big box of cars. He was sooo excited!

Here he is excitedly pulling out all of his new cars

He calls the tow truck "Mater"

Dylan was happy to play with the bubble wrap...at first :)

He REALLY likes the muddy green one!

This kid is seriously in heaven!

He's being pretty good about sharing them with Dylan too, as long as he picks what car Dylan plays with

I'm not exactly sure what Skyler's doing here but this is how they play all day long. They're always cracking each other up

I love this picture because you can see Dylan's 2 bottom teeth, and you can also see how close his top 2 are to coming in...any day now.

Playing on the floor together

Dylan is definitely liking the new assortment of cars to play with too

I think his crawling skills will greatly improve in the next few days because as he was trying to play with the cars tonight he would reach for them and end up pushing them farther away from him and then he'd have to keep crawling around trying to get them. It was pretty cute to watch!
Anybody who wants to come over for a Chevron Car play-date is welcome. I think we have enough to go around now :)

Daddy's Little Helpers

Today is Labor Day and Rich needed to finish up some work for one of his dental clients. The best time to do it is on a weekend or holiday while no one is in the office. So, the boys and I went to the park with Denise and Caitlyn, while Rich was stuck working hard all day. When we were done playing we decided to stop by and see daddy at work. Skyler loves "helping" daddy work...
As you can see, it's important to wear safety glasses when helping daddy at work

He's very interested in everything daddy does
Skyler is an excellent supervisor and always makes sure daddy is being safe...
"Don't climb any higher, Dad!"

He loves climbing ladders too!

This is daddy's other little helper-in-training. He pretty much just crawled around and looked cute the whole time.

One thing's for sure, these boys both adore their daddy!!

Tacoma Rainier's Game

We took the boys to a Tacoma Rainier's game last night and had so much fun! Skyler got to go to his first baseball game when he was 7 months old and that's exactly how old Dylan is. We totally didn't plan it that way but thought it was kind of a funny coincidence.

In the car, on our way to the game, I realized how grown up Skyler looks. He looks like such a big boy with his baseball cap and sunglasses on.

When we walked into the stadium they had some of the players signing autographs. This guy was really nice and tried to let us take a picture of him holding Skyler, however Skyler woke up from his nap in a rotten mood and wanted to have nothing to do with him or getting his picture taken. So we had to walk around and come back when he stopped crying, in order to get this picture.

Sitting in our seats, waiting for the game to start. We got to see that lovely scowl on Skyler's face for at least 3 innings.

Chris & Christie came with us and we had a lot of fun

Dylan enjoyed his bottle while watching the game and all the people around us. He was quite the little charmer, he kept flashing his big smile at the ladies behind us.

Watching the game

Once he saw the mascot, his mood greatly improved

Dylan was a happy camper all night!

He was very interested in the program, he especially liked trying to eat it!

Uncle Chris & Skyler

Skyler took this picture of the baseball field

Skyler liked watching the players run around

Daddy and Dylan enjoying the game together. I love this picture of my boys!

Cheering for the Rainier's. Apparently our cheering worked because they won 7-3!

Skyler was seriously obsessed with Rhubarb, the mascot. He made Rich walk him around so that he could get closer to Rhubarb. So they stalked him for a while...

...but the stalking paid off because Skyler got to say hi to him

...and get his helmet signed by Rhubarb

...and he even got a hug!

He was very proud of his signed helmet! He came back to the seats and told us all about how "his friend" signed his helmet and gave him a hug. And he happily sat on the steps by our seats and clapped his hands and cheered loudly for the rest of the game.
We had so much fun, I think we'll need to go again soon!
