Rich really wanted to take Skyler to the Monster Truck Show in January when it was at the Tacoma Dome. Unfortunately, it just happened to be around the same time that Dylan was born so it just wasn't possible. So we got really excited when we saw it advertised that they were going to have Monster Trucks at the Spring Fair this year! Skyler absolutely loves trucks, cars, airplanes, trains, helicopters and all things that move so we thought he would really like going to see the monster trucks! We had a really fun night at the fair. We got there a little later than we planned but we still managed have time to get the important things, like fair scones :) Boy do I love fair scones! Here's a few pictures of our evening...
Spending a little time at the petting zoo with the goats. (Skyler still thinks they're dogs) :)

Skyler LOVED the cows because they were vacuuming them off and he's obsessed with vacuums these days. Today he's still been talking about them vacuuming the cows at the fair, silly boy!

They had these fun noise makers for the kids to play with. Skyler wasn't too sure what to do with it though.
Skyler got to dress up like a fireman and hold the fire hose

They had some cool old cars from the Lemay collection on display. Skyler really liked them. He kept saying they were like his cars. (I think he meant that they were like his hot wheels)

They had a free pit party before the monster truck races so we got to see the trucks up close

Skyler liked this truck. The drivers of Double Trouble are twins and they gave Skyler a post card of their truck and he held onto it and looked at it throughout the whole fair.

They were doing rides on this monster truck and I really wanted Skyler to be able to go for a ride but we didn't make it in time :( Oh well, he didn't know the difference and had fun watching other people go for rides at least.
In our seats waiting for the races to start

All the trucks lined up and ready to start

The races were so fun because it was a small track so we could see everything really well plus it was a concrete track instead of dirt like they normally race on and it was raining so the track was super slippery. It made things exciting!
The races didn't start until 8pm which is when we normally put Skyler to bed. He made it through the races but fell asleep somewhere around this point which is when they started the Freestyle. I'm not sure how both boys managed to sleep through all that noise but they did. At least he had fun while he was awake. And he's having a great time looking at the pictures and watching the videos of it today.

I thought for sure this truck was going to flip... but it didn't.

Bounty Hunter was the winner. He sure put on a good show!!
